Tsiribihina river, Tsingy and baobabs - low budget

The Tsiribihina River tour is a tour to the West of Madagascar. This trip down the Tsiribihina River offers opportunity to spoting the 2 duirnal species of lemurs in the west coast such as the Red fronted brown lemurs and the Verreaux’s Sifaka. During our passage througt the gorge of the Tsiribihina river, we spend our first night to the (anosin’Ampela waterfall) then you allow to swim in a natural swimming pool. Second day after the morning bath in the waterfall, we paddling down the river and visit the little village of Begidro (a lot of lemurs) to see the local lifestyle, after lunch rush down to our last camping place on this River then you will see the most beautiful sunset on the river. At the end of the trip, we will take the zebu cart to reach a remote small village of Antsiraraka the place we met our jeep. We drive to visit the baobabs (sacred baobab, twisty baobabs in love, indead the famous sunset to the baobabs avenues). Then we drive to Morondava.

Antananarivo to Antsirabe

Tana-Antsirabe: 175 kms distance

• Drive from Tana to Antsirabe, see handicraft market on the way, beautiful landscape of the Merina tribe area, the everyday life of the Merina people,
• Visit of Antsirabe: the hot spring city with its rickshaws, semiprecious stones, lakes.

• exploring the gorge of the Bemaraha area,

• Paddling from the waterfall to the small village Begidro, walk to visit a Sakalava traditional village, after lunch paddling to the last camping place in the river.

Tsiribihina river to Belo sur Tsiribihina

Third and last day on the river: we just across the river to take the zebu cart , around one hour and then we meet our jeep (4wd), then we drive to the ferry , after the ferry we have lunch at the restaurant in Belo then we continue to the Tsingy.

Belo sur Tsiribihina

Today we start late from the hotel after our adventure on the river. We leave at 10 Am and drive to Bekopaka, the small village close the Tsingy. We have to by our ticket in the same day and then we can start early morning for our visit tomorrow. When we got our ticket, we drive slowly to our camping site.

We leave the hotel in the morning to visit the big Tsingy, we have 17 km drive to the big Tsingy and we have 4 hours to hike in the big Tsingy, after the visit we drive back to the hotel for lunch, the afternoon we visit the small Tsingy.

Bekopaka to Morondava

After the breakfast we drive back to Belo for lunch then we drive slowly to visit the 3species of baobabs we have in west coast(sacred baobab, twisty baobab and Baobabs Avenue at sunset for a beautiful sunset and Baobabs photographs). After sunset, drive to Morondava
