Tsingy de Bemaraha and Tsiribihina river expedition mixed

The Tsiribihina River tour. This river is the door for all the tours in west coast, you will discover some species of lemurs, aquatiqs birds, crocodiles, you spend your first night on camping to the waterfall (anosin’Ampela) then you allow to swim in a natural swimming pool, second day after the morning bath in the waterfall you will discover the biggest cave, you are one of the first tourist step there, and see the thousand FRUIT BATS, we paddling down the river and visit the little village of Begidro (a lot of lemurs) to see the local lifestyle, in the morning we paddling again and discover the BAOBABS, the next morning we have 1h by canoe and met our jeep, then we drive 2h until the car ferry boat, we have 30 mn by ferry then we arrive in the restaurant for lunch, we drive to Bekopaka the little village close the Tsingy, we have one day visit of the Tsingy tomorrow, means big Tsingy in the morning and small Tsingy the afternoon. The next day we drive back to Belo for lunch then we drive slowly to visit the baobabs (sacred baobab, twisty baobabs in love, indead the famous sunset to the baobabs avenues), then we drive to Morondava.

Antananarivo to Antsirabe

We leave the hotel after our breakfast and drive follow the RN7 until Antsirabe, on the way you will see the rice paddies, we arrive in Antsirabe on lunch time, the afternoon we visit the city and there handwork artisanal, Gem taylor.

day 1

Visit of volcano lake in Antsirabe

We leave the hotel after our breakfast, we drive to the Volcano lake of TRITRIVA (1h drive) after our visit we drive back to the main road RN34 to bring us to Miandrivazo but on the way. We have our lunch break in MANDOTO (half way). After lunch, we drive slowly to across the dry landscape of the west of Madagascar until we arrive in Miandrivazo.

day 2

Miandrivazo and the Tsiribihina river

Today we have to start early morning, we need to drive 1h until the harbour.After that, we start our adventure on the river with dugout canoe or motorboat. We discover some species of birds, lemurs, crocodiles. We cruising along the gorge to reach the waterfall of Anosin’ampela and camp there.

waterfall, caves and visit village

After our night to the waterfall, this morning we are going to hike and discover the biggest caves you never seen, to see some species of FRUIT BATS and STALACTITE, this tour is arround 5h and we come back to the waterfall again for our lunch, in the afternoon we paddling until the village of BEGIDRO, we walking to the village and we have our camping there.

day 4

Tsiribihina river

We leave the gorge and have to paddling all day and see the BAOBABS trees in the river side and the TOBACCO field. The evening, the group of the local young come to meet us with their music instrument to show the traditional song and teach you how to dance their rhythm with the big camping fire.

Tsiribihina, Belo sur Tsiribihina and Tsingy

After our breakfast, we have only 30mn by canoe, and meet our jeep in the river side. We have to drive 2h until the ferry, after 30mn of ferry we have the lunch break in BELO sur Tsiribihina. The afternoon we drive to TSINGY (4h drive).

day 6

Visit of Tsingy in Bekopaka

Today we have 2 visit in the Tsingy, we leave early from the hotel to reach the famous big Tsingy. This is 17km from our hotel and we have 4h to visit inside, we can seesome species of lemurs like Decken’s sifaka, Ringtail mangoose, some birds. After our visit, we drive back to the hotel for lunch, and the afternoon we will do the small Tsingy 2h visit.

day 7

Bekopaka, baobabs and Morondava

After the breakfast we drive back to Belo for lunch. Then we drive slowly to visit the 3 species of baobabs we have in west coast. We will visit sacred baobab, twisty baobab and Baobabs Avenue at sunset for a beautiful sunset and Baobabs photographs. After the unforgettable sunset we drive to our hotel in Morondava.

Visit of Morondava

We leave from the hotel at 9 Am to take again the boat to visit the mangrove and the fishers village of Betania. We have picnic lunch there. Then the afternoon back to hotel to enjoy the sunset on the beach Anosikely.
